Yesterday I packed up all my things from the last three years in Santa Cruz. I stuffed them into my Corolla and made my trip down to Southern California. I had much more than my car could take so I had to buy a roof bag. This, of course, earned some good stares on the road and questions at the gas stations. It was a great purchase though, no need for roof racks! I will need it for the road-trip to Boston, if Lauren is to fit in my car too. Yesterday morning I took the car to the mechanic, got all new fluids and checked spark plugs and all. He says the car is in great shape and ready for the long haul! Now I just need to make the room in my car for Lauren and her things. This means a few big trips to the the goodwill in the next 2 weeks. I will continue posting as we embark on our journey the first week in January. Until then, Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!
